We are proud to announce the launch of our new law firm, Saltworks.

Saltworks aims to bring the charity’s pioneering work at the forefront of immigration and employment law to a radically different client base, both here in the UK and abroad. While all profits from the new firm will help fund our work with victims of trafficking and slavery.

Saltworks’ immigration practice will help people here and overseas to live and work in the UK. It will offer a range of services from document reviews to handling the visa application process to representation at tribunal.

Saltworks employment practice will focus on discrimination and helping workers to be treated fairly in the workplace; bringing our huge amount of experience at employment tribunal into play.

While Saltworks aims to share ATLEU’s legal expertise with private clients, we have no intention of abandoning our ethical roots or our commitment to justice. The same team voted as legal aid non-profit firm of the year 2016 will also work for Saltworks. The aim is that all our lawyers will continue to work for both firms so that we take the knowledge and expertise we gain from one sector across to the other.

We need to find new ways to fund our work and we hope that Saltworks will provide an innovative new model for other legal aid charities who need to secure the services they offer into the future. At the same time, we’re offering our new private clients the chance to improve their own lives and the lives of vulnerable people who desperately need our help.

So if you need legal advice or representation, please contact us and one of our award winning lawyers will be there to help.
